Advent Day 12 – Nail Art Inspiration

Although I have already completed a couple of nail tutorials I thought it was time to have a look around for some more and the best way in which to do that? An inspiration board – as I have done before with Halloween and Bonfire night, so below are some of my favorite designs – and some which I hope to test out soon!

Advent Day 4 – DIY Baubles

I came across this neat little idea which searching for DIY Christmas decorations and it really caught my attention – its super simple, creates a great effect and can really be personalized!

So, what is it? – Clear baubles filled with whatever you want! Seriously. There are loads of clear plastic baubles on the internet and in stores (Asda is a good example) which split in half to allow you to place what you want inside them. A lot are sold as ‘Photo Baubles’ but really you can use anything, below is a selection of some of my personal favorite which I found online from a simple google image search.

Filled Baubles

Fillings: glitter, tinsel, beads, sequins, sweets, smaller christmas decorations, text/coloured paper, lavender, buttons, chocolates, feathers, dried flowers, seashells, coloured strings – and anything else you can think of!

DIY filled baubles is definitely something which I plan on trying this Christmas, just to see how much I can experiment with it!

Hopefully this may have inspired some of you to go out and make your own filled baubles – speak to you soon! x

Bonfire Night – Nail Ideas!

‘Remember remember the 5th of November!’ – Tonight in the UK is Bonfire Night, Guy Fawkes Night, Fireworks Night, there are many names – held to commemorate the Gunpowder Plot on the Houses of Parliament on 5th of November 1605.

I’ve actually not made any plans for the night this year, I normally go and see a display but with work did forget completely about it – so instead have decided to make another nail inspiration/ideas blog all themed around fireworks! – enjoy!

(I really need to find some glow in the dark nail varnish – looks amazing! Wonder if it really works that well….)

Hope this has given you some inspiration to fireworks nails! – Speak to you soon! x

Halloween Week – Nails – Part Two

Here it is, my second installation of Halloween themed nails! Today I looked for a few more specific designs, thinking about different categories and styles, some looking more easier than others!

As of starting to write this I still have no idea what I’m going to do for my own design but hopefully after finding and compiling the images together I will have some ideas!

Pumpkins – Great little idea if your short on colours but have orange and black and can be easily personalized with glitter top coats if wished!

Blood – Whether flicked on, dripped on or carefully painted blood nails are great and go with just about any outfit!

Blog Tea Time

After realising I haven’t written a blog post for a few days I decided to sit down with a cup of tea and start to work on one, but choosing a topic? I have a couple in mind but then thought: How about just doing  a ‘tea time’ post, quite inspired by Loepsie, my favorite YouTube Vlogger/Blogger (I highly recommend you check out her website here!)

So this is just a general post about the little things I’ve been up to, new products I’ve started looking at and a little spoiler into upcoming blog posts!

Being a university student having to learn how to properly cook for myself I’ve started paying more attention into the culinary world – becoming a great fan of Jamie Oliver’s 30 Minute Meals, to the extent of ordering his 30 minute meal cook book, which I am highly looking forward to receiving and reading through before planning some meals!

With this I have also ordered myself a Blender – breakfast smoothies, fruit smoothies and milkshakes are all on the horizon and I am hoping to do a mini blog series here on my blog with some of the recipes which I try!

As I’m writing this and drinking my tea, I have also been planning my next Summery Nail Tutorial which I will post either today or tomorrow morning!

Thanks for reading – will speak to you all soon!

Tea of choice: Early Grey with a slice of lemon – and after finding the above featured image I now really want glass tea cups!!

Interior Design – Personalized Cork Board

Cork boards can seem a little boring, all the same shape and size – you may think one would be a great idea but no way would a plain rectangular cork board actually work well with your bedroom design! – As I’ve just been redecorating my bedroom it is actually a small problem I’ve just come across; needing somewhere to pin notes etc on but not being able to find anything which would go! – Here are some of the solutions I found and my very own new cork board!

Cork boards are excellent for pinning up any notes, key dates, keys, jewelry, cards etc and can be bought fairly cheaply – averagely you can get a A3 sized board for around £5 – after that you can do whatever you want with them to make them that extra bit special and unique as well as making them look much more interesting!
